Meet the new farm animals. We have Laddy, the miniature horse, Squeaky the donkey , and the 2 brothers from Barkerville, Jake & Jerry.
Squeaky:
Hi! I’m a 3 year old mare donkey. I came to live at the farm last year. I love it here because I have friends and so much attention from you! Feel free to give me a pat on my head!
I am gentle and yes ok…….stubborn too! But I guess that’s ok as I am a donkey after all! No one seems to mind here because I really don’t do it that often, just when it comes to food.

HI! My name is Laddy. I am a miniature horse . I have lived with my family my whole life. I’m the old guy around here, so I guess that makes me the Boss of the Barn. I was born on April 17, 1988—you do the math.
I spent 10 years showing with my owner and trainer, Sarah. Our specialty was jumping and I broke a record in 1996 by jumping 43 inches! Not bad considering I am 32-3/4 inches tall!
I am now enjoying retired life with my friends.
Jake:
My name is Jake. I'm a full brother to Jerry. I was born in 1999 in Bently, Alberta & am a Norwegian Fjord cross with Belgian. Little Laddy was the boss of the barn until I arrived from Barkerville, BC. I let him know that I would be the new boss as I am 6 times his size! He has come to accept the 1500 lbs of difference!
Jerry:
I'm Jerry and I'm Jake's "little" brother. I'm the handsome one with white snip on my forehead and I am just a smidge smaller. I was born in 2000. I found that the gold in Barkerville was very hard on my teeth and am so very happy to be at Krause Berry Farms where everything is luscious & green! Yum yum!!
